Polestar and Cake expand their partnership with a new ebike model

Polestar electric car manufacturer expand its cooperationA new battery-powered motorcycle will be launched by Cake, a Swedish e-bike manufacturer. It will be the first time that it will be offered in North America.

This custom-made, limited-edition Cake’s Makka motorcycle will come with an exterior skyblue colorway inspired from it Polestar’s O2 Roadster conceptThe concept was revealed for the first time earlier this year. The Polestar 6 is expected to begin production in 2026.

This is the second model Polestar and Cake have launched since 2021, when the two Swedish companies first merged. The Makka scooter was also used in the first model, but it had a white exterior called Snow Matte.

Motorcycle mecca cakeIt has a top speed 28 mph, two riding modes and a distinctive appearance that sets it apart from other motorcycles with similar specs. Its motor produces 2.8 kW peak power and has a range that extends to 34 miles. The company also makes Utility of e-bikes and off-road.

Stefan Etterborn, the man behind the popular POC apparel brand for mountain bikers, founded Cake in 2016. POC stands to represent “piece of cake” and was established in 2005.

The Polestar-branded Sky Blue Makka will only be available in select Polestar markets via the company’s online store “Additionals”, starting December 14, 2022 at a retail price $5,300
