Logitech makes a keyboard detachable cover with kickstand that is perfect for Zoom/FaceTime call with the new Zoom. Theater CenterBrydge also has a new case that features a large trackpad and resembles a laptop, with contrasting colors.
Each have their strengths and each work well. However, I prefer Apple’s Magic Keyboard due to its size/performance. All of these were tested with the 12.9 inch 2021 iPad Pro. It isn’t compatible for many older accessories because it is slightly thicker. The smaller 11-inch Pro can be used with any 11 inch iPad Pro accessory up to the 2018 model as well as cases for 2020 iPad Air. The prices below are for the 12.9 inch keyboard version.

The Apple keyboard was released last year and provides a comfortable typing experience. The keys, especially the 12.9 inch, feel like you are typing on a MacBook. Although it hasn’t changed much over the last year, the 12.9-inch Pro cases have been slightly larger to accommodate the slightly thicker Pro.
The design of the Magic Keyboard was easy to get used to. It’s small enough to fit on smaller desks and on a lap. There are some drawbacks. The magnetic, angle-adjustable top cover does not tilt back like a regular notebook. The case’s rugged design makes this case almost unusable as a drawing tablet case with pencil. The case is not very protective, as it exposes the sides of your tablet and makes it easy to remove when dropped. There aren’t any dedicated function keys, like on the MacBook Air (and other iPad covers). The lack of volume/play/pause/screen brightness adjustment keys is a disappointment.
Side USB-C passesthrough is very useful because it adds a charging port while also using the Thunderbolt port to charge other dongles. The iPad Pro runs out of juice when the case is full. It is made of soft material and can crack or rip depending on how you use it.

The new premium keyboard case by Brydge for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be available in mid-June. It is a significant improvement on previous Brydge keyboards. The new Bluetooth keyboard features more travel than Logitech keyboards and Apple keyboards (like the 2015 MacBook Pro). A large multi-touch trackpad with a larger size than the one on MacBook Air is also available. This trackpad works well with multi-touch gestures in iPadOS. This iPad keyboard is more expensive than the current Brydge accessories. However, it is $100 cheaper than the Magic Keyboard.
The magnetic back cover offers more protection than the older Brydge keyboards. It’s also easier for you to attach/remove your iPad. However, the iPad cannot bend as far as it used to. The iPad Pro keyboard case is very user-friendly, and the whole thing feels like a MacBook Air.
Bluetooth connection is much faster and more convenient than it was before. However, it’s not perfect. Sometimes, the connection broke (as it does for Bluetooth), and sometimes, rarely, trackpad gestures seemed a little choppy.

Logitech’s latest iPad Pro keyboard cover is a Pro-sized model from the company Combo TouchAvailable for smaller iPads. It works: The trackpad and keyboard are large enough, but the trackpad is smaller than a Brydge’s. The rubber casing should provide protection against bumps. The adjustable backrest can be used as a display stand to enlarge beds. The case’s versatility means that you can flip or remove the keyboard for other purposes like reading or drawing with pencils.
