We have some exciting news for you today if you are looking for top-notch video quality. Nvidia today announced a new AI enhancement tool at CES 2023 GeForce beyond stream. It’s called RTX Video Super Resolution. It can upscale 1080p videos to 4K with Chrome and Edge browsers. It is only compatible with RTX-40 series and RTX-30 range GPUs. Check out the video below to see the tool in action.
As you can see, the RTX Video Super Resolution Tool cleans up any jagged bits. It does this using the power and tensor core AI of modern GeForce GTS GPUs. It does this by removing the filled compression defects. These large pixel blocks can cause distortion. It rubs the insert and then makes it larger. The goal is to make watching your favorite shows more enjoyable and improve the quality of video on larger screens. This tool does not affect the games you play. It only affects videos you stream from your browser. You will need DLSS for games (in titles that support it).
At the moment, the only option for scaling is 1080p to four-kilobytes. I don’t know about you but I’m excited because I stream video from my computer regularly. The increase in video quality is a huge bonus, especially in my home. Nvidia AI Tool will be available in February. You can see all the new Nvidia hardware at CES 2023, including GeForce RTX 4070Ti and the first-ever RTX 4090 laptops. Head straight here.
