Google has released the latest software update to Pixel 4a and later pixel models. You might want to wait until you install it. There are reports that the update caused automatic Bluetooth pairing to fail.

According to Iles Iles none of the troubleshooting options on Google’s part seem to be working. Even trying to access developer options did not work.
The problem appears to be affecting not only Kia cars but also a variety other car brands. At this time, reports indicate that the problem is affecting Kia, Toyota and Infiniti vehicles as well as Honda, Volvo and Volvo.
Google has not yet revealed a solution at the time of writing.
