WhatsApp is currently in testing on Android Voice status updates(Opens in new tab)Allow users to record and then share voice notes instead of just plain text. You can record for a maximum of 30 seconds. If you don’t like what you hear you can delete the status and make another update. It has been confirmed that the notes can be listened to only by those you have chosen with privacy settings. They can be deleted at any moment or they will disappear after 24 hours.
There are limitations to the current Voice Status updates version. The beta app is limited to a few people so not everyone will be able to sign up for updates. Other users will also need to download the beta version to listen.
Improved chat transmission
Next, the development team will work on a Chat Transfer Renewal(Opens in new tab)This feature allows you to securely transfer your chat history without the need to use Google Drive. The migration process works by opening the chat transfer tool on the old phone first. Scan the QR code(Opens in new tab)The new device will be using the WhatsApp version. One of the most recent changes in Android is the new shortcut blocking feature. This feature is only available when you receive a message that comes from an unknown source. This way, you won’t accidentally block someone that you know.

WhatsApp allows you to add files to iOS Tabs to the camera within the app(Opens in new tab)You can now switch between shooting photos and videos while you are on the move by pressing and holding down the on-screen button. It is unknown if the video mode will continue recording even after switching to photo mode, or if it will stop. We hope this is the case because it would be disappointing to see the recording stop after the switch.
Unfortunately, the iOS beta program(Opens in new tab)WhatsApp is bloated and new iPhone owners won’t be able test out the upcoming camera mode. Cross-testers are still possible in the latest Android beta Google Play Store(Opens in new tab). The official launch dates are not yet available to everyone.
