Tritium and BP Pulse have been shaken up to make way for a new DC charging station to expand the oil giant’s EV network.

According to the company, its US plant can produce 30,000 units per annum “at full maturity”, while its Australian plant can produce 5,000 units. Tritium didn’t specify when its plants would reach production capacity.

BP’s deals in Hertz and Tritium are a sign of the growing interest among legacy fossil fuel companies in promoting the growth electric vehicles.
