Google’s Lens image search is now available on its homepage

Google will show you shopping results if you scan an image that contains a product. If you upload a picture of an animal or plant, Google will tell you what it’s about, with many images you can use for cross-reference.

You also get many other features. You can copy and translate text from images that are scanned. You can also scan the QR code to get more information. Google also provides a link for a reverse image search that will allow you to see their origins.

Lens users who have used it on iOS and Android will not be surprised to learn that some of these features are also available in desktop operating systems such as macOS. An accessible version of Lens is available for users who do not have these features. This makes it a versatile and useful tool.
