PSVR 2 finally gets a price and a release date

The past few months have been quite busy. Play StationGamers were provided with information about the next generation of virtual reality headsets. He did not answer two of the most important questions regarding the device, the price and the release date. Today, the company has answered all these questions and more.

Isabel Tomatis was Vice President of Hardware and Peripherals. PlayStation BlogTo announce the launch PlayStation VR 2 on February 22, 2023. Tomatis also confirmed that the PlayStation VR2 Sense console charger station will be launched the same day.

It will cost slightly more than the original $400 headset, which was launched in 2016. Tomatis revealed that the PSVR 2 will launch at $549.99, €599.99, £529.99 and £74,980. This includes Stereo Headphones and the PSVR Headset 2. There will also be a bundle that includes a PlayStation Store coupon code for Horizon Call of the Mountain, which will cost $599.99, €649.99, £569.99, JPY 79980.

The charging station shown below will be sold separately for $49.99, €49.99, £39.99 and 5480 yen.

Pre-orders are expected to start on November 15, 2022. But you can pre-order starting today. The blog notes that pre-orders for the initial phase of launch will be available only to consumers in the US, UK and France.

The PSVR 2 will be available in participating retailers for markets outside these countries. Information on how to order the PSVR 2 from these retailers will be provided.
