PitchBook – Venture capital raised $151 billion during the first, third, and fourth quarters of 2022. This was more than any full-year cycle. Large funds were concentrated in Sequoia, Lightspeed and other large funds.Venture capital partners have limited access to startups that outperform other asset classes in downturns.
