Kaspersky is another highly-rated antivirus that offers a lot of value in its free service. This is Free AV SuiteIt does not attempt installing additional software on the computer like Avast. However, it will prompt you to create an account with Kaspersky during installation and reminds you to get a 30-day free trial for its premium services.
In May 2021, Kaspersky was not installed correctly with the Microsoft Edge browser. Defender Smart Display began flagging Kaspersky free as dangerous. It is not known why this happens.
Kaspersky Free supports the same scanning options as paid suites. These include full scans and scans for external devices. You can also schedule scans. Kaspersky’s password management and Secure Connection VPN are included in the free package. The data usage limit is 300MB per day.

Free antivirus vs. paid AV: What would you give for it?
