The A series is a midrange phone from Google. This means that it has to make a lot of sacrifices in an effort to be affordable. This could be done by lowering the screen or using cheaper building materials. However, a new leak suggests that. Pixel 7 AIt could end up costing a little more than people expected.
Since Kuba Wojciechowski, a developer, discovered the source code for Android 13QPR1 Beta 1 beta 1, the codename Lynx has been moving around. It was initially believed that this mysterious device might be the Pixel Ultra, or the Pixel Mini. A new leak however has been revealed by WojciechowskiThis device could be the Pixel 7a.
Twitter claimed that the developer had examined the device’s cameras drivers and found “indications” of a “Pixel22 mid-range” on the Pixel 7/Pro. This suggests that we are dealing a Pixel 7a.
Wojciechowski claims that sources have told him that the Pixel 7a might have a 90Hz 1080p LCD screen. This will be the highest refresh rate on an A-series device. 5W is another possibility. Wireless charging.
The Pixel 7a could also see a modification to its camera setup. Rumours circulated that the Lynx could come with a GN1, IMX787 or IMX712 camera lens. Wojciechowski states that the GN1 has been removed, and that the sensor’s are now referred “now to as l10_wide” (IMX787) and l10_UW(IMX712) without a remote lens.”
If these rumors are true the Pixel 7a may be a big step up from its predecessor.
