It’s hard not to believe that Star Wars related films are now available to stream. Disney PlusA relatively low monthly cost. Plus all the moviesYou can also watch many Star Wars TV series. We made a list listing all of the Star Wars series ranked from worst-to-best. Although all these shows have some quality, which one is truly the best?

A quick note about this list: We decided to leave animated children’s shows like Droids and Ewoks of the ’80s off this list. They aren’t worth anyone’s time. This applies to all Lego Star Wars specials and live-action TV movies, as well as The Ewok Adventure. Editor’s note:As new Star Wars series are added, we’ll update these ratings.

11. Resistance

resistance

The animated series, which first aired on Disney XD a few year ago, has not been a hit with its fans. Although it is a well-made series, the use of a darker animation style was not consistent with previous shows like The Clone Wars and Rebels. It was set before The Force Awakens. The series focuses on a New Republic pilot who is drafted by the resistance. His mission is go to Colossus to meet the galaxy’s most elite pilots. He was asked if he could determine whether any of the people at Colossus belonged to the growing, sinister First Order movement. Although it’s a solid show premise, it didn’t have the same urgency for most of its run as The Clone Wars.

10. Tales of Capricorn

My grandfather's tales

Six animated shorts in this series are all in The Clone Wars style. The center of the pants is two very different Jedi. One story follows Ahsoka through her early life and her later life. The second story is about Count Dooku. We first meet him as a Jedi. But then we learn what happened that could have made him turn to the dark side. The shorts series is excellent and should be seen by fans of The Clone Wars. This shorts series is not rated high on our Star Wars series ratings list. We would love to see them made into full episodes. These seem like filler.

9. Clone Wars

Clone Wars

Before Lucasfilm created the CGI-based series The Clone Wars, there was a 2D animated series that was set during the prequel trilogy. It was simply called Clone Wars (there is no “The”) in the title). Genndy Tartakovsky created it for The Cartoon Network. He was also the creator of popular shows like Samurai Jack and Dexter’s Laboratory. This was to show that Clone Wars has a very similar art style to the former. The events of the show are now illegal within the Star Wars universe. However, there are many great episodes here, including battles between the Jedis and General Grievous. Disney Plus has compiled all episodes into two segments that exceed an hour.

8. The Rebels

Star Wars Rebels

The animated series is set following the events of the Pre-War Trilogy, in which a small number of rebels try to challenge Galactic Empire. Although the storylines are different from those in The Clone Wars series, some characters from that series make an appearance. They are also much older than what we’ve seen before. The storylines are solid, but this series lacks something that The Clone Wars has. It’s worth watching, but do not expect too much.

7. Bad batch

Star Wars The Bad Batch

This series is a direct continuation of The Clone Wars. It is about a group of cloned soldiers who are genetically modified and escape the control of Emperor Rank 66 mind-control implants. They now work as mercenaries, and some of their jobs lead them directly to the path of the newly formed Galactic Empire. This series is perfect for those who enjoy military-style sci fi action. Season 1 is finished, but Season 2 will be available on Disney Plus in January 2023.

6. Visions

Star Wars Visions on Disney Plus

This is our most unique Star Wars show. It’s a series animated shorts created by some of Japan’s top animation studios. Star Wars has a unique Japanese film heritage, so it’s wonderful to see the universe from different perspectives. Animation styles vary widely as do story lines. These stories are set at different times or with a single subject matter. You can view the seven shorts right now. The second season, featuring animation from many studios around world, will be available in early 2023.

5. Obi-Wan Kenobi

Obi Wan Kenobi Episode 3 Rescue

The Star Wars live-action series is definitely worth your attention, but it’s still the least enjoyable of the rated Star Wars series. It’s a great show with excellent visuals and production quality. Ewan McGregor is also a star, just like he was in the previous trilogy. We enjoyed watching the Jedi investigators hunted in real-life action for the very first time. The main story revolves around Kenobi’s efforts to rescue Princess Leia from both the Inquisitors (and the Empire). The middle episodes of the show are a little weak. The final episode featured Kenobi and Darth Vader fighting in force, but their lightsabers and force fights weren’t as impressive as they should have. However, the show is still worth watchingWe may get a second season one day.

4. The Boba Fett Book

Boba Fett book 3

The show’s solo season seems to have been created in order to give Pedro Pascal, the star of The Mandalorian a break after its second season. Instead, we get one popular Star Wars side character starring in his very own series. The show’s opening part shows Boba Fett as the head of Tatooine’s main criminal organization. We also see how he escaped the Sarlacc Pit from Return of the Jedi, and the subsequent adventures. The show takes some time for it to start, but once The Mandalorian is featured in the final few episodes, it starts to feel more normal.

3. The Clone Wars

Star Wars Clone Wars

Fans of Star Wars had this animated series as a hit long before the Star Wars movie trio was released. It’s not hard to see why. The expansion of the Clone Wars period from the previous trilogy was a great way to introduce new characters and gain insight into existing characters. It also provided plenty of conflict and great stories. The animation has improved from season to episode. This latest season, exclusively for Disney Plus, features some of the most moving Star Wars stories ever. It also features major crossovers and influences in many of the live action Star Wars series. You should see it if you haven’t already.

2. The Mandalorian

Disney's Mandalorian Plus

Fans were excited to see a Star Wars-themed space Western series. It was unexpected that the lead character, “Baby Yoda Grogu”, would be the one to debut when it debuted in November 2019. Season 1 was a huge success as it featured Grogu and The Mandalorian on a series a adventures. Season 2 was not as successful, but it did improve in half-time, thanks to Asoka’s live-action debut and the plot to kidnap Grogu from the Empire. We are eager to see Season 3 in 2023.

1. Andor

Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) in Star: Wars Endor

This is the best Star Wars TV series, and it’s also one of the most exciting live-action Star Wars projects. This show feels more stable than other series featuring Jedi Knights and their lightsabers and powers. There are not magical warriors who can save the galaxy. Only humans and aliens have special powers, but they are trying to overthrow the evil empire. The grit of the show is evident in the visual style and effects, and the performances of Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, Stellan Skarsgård as Rebel Alliance member Luthen Rael, and others elevate the material. The second season, which will feature 12 episodes, can’t come soon enough.

Upcoming starwars shows

There are many other shows, including new seasons of The Mandalorian and Andor, Star Wars: Visions and The Bad Batch. Collection of other Star Wars seriesIn the near future, Disney Plus will be available:

  • Asuka– A show about the Jedi that was first shown in the animated series The Clone Wars. Rosario Dawson will be reprising her role in The Mandalorian season two as the title character.
  • The assistantThe series will take place 100-years before the events of the prequel trilogy. It will be about a pair of Jedi Knights who investigate strange happenings.
  • Crew members of the ship– This series, which is described in Mandalorian timelines, is a coming of age story. Jude Law will play another adult character. Four teens will be the main characters.
