HBO’s official trailer for The last of usIt shows Joel (Bella Ramsey) and Ellie (“Pedro Pascal”) as they navigate a post-apocalyptic United States amid a fungus outbreak that transforms humans into zombies. It gives a more detailed view of the dangers that the two face. compared to the previous sentenceA brief profile of the sufferers is also included.
Like the PlayStation game, Joel will be accompanying Ellie, an immune to the fungus. They will travel across the country looking for a cure. The trailer flashes between scenes that feature Storm Reid as Ellie Riley’s friend, and Nick Offerman playing Bill. We see a group a barnacle-covered creatures crawling from the fire pit, before they start lunging towards our camera.
