YouTube has begun to roll out its own emoticons. Twitch-like vibes are dubbed YouTube EmotesYouTube lets you use the following in comment sections and live chats. However individual broadcasters can still post their reactions and emotions on YouTube. YouTube’s initial vibes are focused on gaming, but YouTube will add more.
When you open the YouTube Emoji Picker, you’ll see a list with YouTube emotes. They’ll be below the current channel’s custom emoji. Much like the default system-wide emoticons on Twitch, those on YouTube also have specific autocomplete names so you quickly type “: cat-orange-whistling:” for example, and it will automatically fill in the comment with an orange cat whistling.
It’s not surprising that there are no files pogchamp emoteYouTube did not add a default value for the LUL Twitch icon. There are GG’s for final games and others for caching.
We started with emotes that were created for the games, but we are currently working on adding emoticons themes to the future. So stay tuned for emoticons to be added to more communities! YouTube in community participation.
