Sony has shared PSVR 2 controllers (also known as PlayStation VR 2 Sense Controllers) with others. CES 2022PSVR 2 was confirmed on February 20, 2021. Since then, Sony has been drip feeding information about the new PS5 peripheral, including PSVR 2 specs at CES-2022 and the headset’s ergonomic design.
PSVR 2 controllers were designed to enhance immersion in virtual realities. They feature similar haptic feedback and adaptive triggers like DualSense Wireless console Finger touch detection. To ensure comfort during long gaming sessions, each controller’s shape is orb-shaped. They are also similar to the DualSense controller. Pulse 3D wireless headsetFor reference.

PSVR 2 Controllers: Let’s get to the chase

- How much will it cost? TBC – but the set with PSVR2 will be included.
PSVR 2 consoles price, release date
After much speculation Sony has finally confirmed that the PSVR 2’s cost will be paid PlayStation BlogIt will cost $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99 for the standard package, which comes with PS VR2 Sense controllers and stereo headsets. We don’t have pricing information for the consoles and no pricing has been released for Australia.
How much will the PSVR 2 consoles cost? While one pair is almost certain to come with the hardware and the other will be sold separately, Sony will likely offer standalone pairs, much in the same way as the PS Move controllers. PlayStation Move Controllers were initially available for $35 / £35 PS3, or with the PlayStation Eye Camera for $50 / £50. Navigation console (equivalent weenunchuck) added $25 / £25.
Since the VR controllers share many technical elements with the DualSense platforms, which cost $69.99 / £59.99 / AU$109, we expect the PSVR 2 Sense controllers to get quite expensive. Although it is not clear if the PSVR 2 controllers include additional attachments, we anticipate that a single controller will cost around $35 and a pair of controllers to cost slightly more, due to the technology.
Sony has not yet confirmed pricing, so this is speculation at this stage. The official Sony charging station accessories will be priced. We know this, but we don’t know how much. Available from launch, it will cost $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99, and as with the headset, there’s no confirmed Australian price yet.
Design of PSVR Controllers 2.
The PSVR 2 Sense controllers are significantly different from the PlayStation Move controllers. The sensory controllers are black with an orb-shaped shape. Sony claims that this makes them feel more natural and allows for greater freedom. Sony claims that this design does not restrict how players can move their hands and allows developers to create unique gaming experiences.
Sony also stated that the controllers were designed with ergonomics and take into account different hand sizes. Sensory controllers should feel balanced and easy to hold.
The images show that each PSVR 2 controller contains two buttons. The left has a triangle, a square, and the right has an X. An analog stick, a grip button (L1 and R1, which can be used for selecting in-game objects), and either an options button on the controller right or the Share button on the left console. Each controller has an adaptive trigger and a touch detector (more details below), as well as what appears to be the bottom’s charging port. In some images, you can also see the wrist strap.
PSVR 2 controllers Features
PSVR 2’s Sense Controllers are designed to enhance immersion. They offer important new features similar in DualSense to the PS Move controllers. Sense can be expected to increase tension by using adaptive triggers. You should feel the tension in the trigger when drawing a bow in a game. It will feel more real.
The DualSense controllers have another feature, haptic feedback. Haptic feedback is a touch-based communication method that allows players to feel sensations through the controller. For example, in Astro’s Playroom, PS5, you can feel the texture difference echoing through your DualSense controller when you walk across the sand.
The controllers of the PSVR 2 have finger touch detection. This allows them to detect where your fingers are and not have to press a button. This allows you to use your hands more naturally while playing games. Hideaki Nishino says(Opens in new tab)PlayStation.
These controllers will now be tracked by the PSVR 2 headset. This is done using a tracking loop that runs across the bottom of each controller.

PSVR 2 consoles: What we want to see
Good battery life
The PS Move controllers’ batteries are still irritating, even though they were upgraded to a Micro USB connection in 2017. We would like to be able use the PSVR2 Sensor controllers for longer periods of time before charging them. We don’t know if this will happen, as the DualSense controller isn’t able to hold a charge very well. As a result, we often need at least one charging on standby.
Developers who use the features
The PSVR 2 controller is very well-equipped with excellent audio. We are looking forward to a more immersive virtual experience due to adaptive controllers and haptic feedback. It is up to developers to use these features. We loved Astro’s Playroom. backAnd the Ratchet and Clank: Rift ApartThese features are available on DualSense. We’d love to see more developers use them. We hope they will do so for PSVR 2 consoles.
Higher accuracy and reliability
PlayStation Move controllers aren’t always the most reliable or accurate. They sometimes give up mid-game, or don’t do what you want. This will hopefully change with the PSVR 2 consoles.
No It is very Beloved
Virtual reality is great fun with your friends. Sony should be able to justify the extra cost of purchasing additional PSVR 2 controllers, especially if you have a lot. You have It is possible to buy add-on controllers in pairs (this seems the case). Although we don’t expect add-on controllers that are cheap, we do hope Sony doesn’t go too far above $70 (afterall, the DualSense resells well for $70).
