WhatsApp Communities allows users to group and consolidate groups within one space. The new Communities tab is represented with the three-person icon. You can switch between all the available groups within the community by using the subgroup switching tool. Administrators can also send out updates to the entire community.
What are WhatsApp communities?
WhatsApp Communities is a way to organize WhatsApp groups. Communities can be thought of as a large group that you can use for group conversations on WhatsApp. A group is a chat with multiple people. However, a community can be made up of different groups and members of subgroups.
WhatsApp allows communities to interact with programs like slackOr Difference. These programs are used by larger organizations to link all their sub-departments and ensure everyone is on the right page. Community admins can also send announcements to all members. Community members can also keep in touch by exploring the groups they are interested in and chat in them. WhatsApp claims that it has a security guarantee through end to end encryption.
How does WhatsApp work?
WhatsApp communities are made up of members and group admins. Administrators can create as many as 50 groups. Each group can have up 5,000 members. Only admins can post messages in the ad groups to notify team members.
Administrators and team members are able to participate in focused conversations about different topics. Any member of the community can switch between group chats by using the subgroup switcher located next to the chat name.

This security protects sensitive communications between organizations, workplaces, or private groups. How to open a WhatsApp Community
To get started, you can tap the new Communities tab located at the top of Chats for Android. It will be at the bottom on iOS. You can then enter your community name, description and profile picture.
Next, you will need to add groups. Could you? Create a new groupOr Add a group to an existing group. You can only add groups that you have created as a community administrator, and not groups you are a member of. Each group can be given its own name, description, and maximum of ten members.

Once you’re done adding groups or creating them, click the green checkmark icon to create your community. You can now invite new members, create more groups, or post your first ad for everyone to join the new community.
