LG is expected to refresh its OLED TV line-up for 2023. However, it’s worth noting that this year’s upgrade might be appreciated by those who live in well-lit rooms. The new LG models come with a per-pixel Brightness Booster Max that promises brighter images on some G3 series TVs (shown below). You won’t spend too much time looking at your TV during the day.
The G3, C3, 8K-capable Z3 and G3 all use the a9 Gen6 processor. This processor offers AI upscaling as well as HDR toning and object-based image sharpening. The chip is key similar to the AI audio processing that delivers 9.1.2 channels of surround sound from the built-in speakers. You’ll have extra incentive to upgrade your audio setup, though — LG is having a WOW Orchestra feature that uses your TV’s speakers to complement the output from the brand’s newer speakers.

However, you’ll only experience a 70 percent brightness bump on the 55-inch, 65- and 77-inch versions. The C3’s beautiful line (pictured in center) spans between 42″ and 83″, but you’ll need to “settle for” a standard brightness booster.
Significantly, there is nothing else a series. LG now considers B3 series an entry-level OLED screen. This is ideal for gamers who are conscious of their budget. You will have to accept the lower a7Gen 6 chip and not crank up brightness. However, you’ll get 4K @ 120Hz (useful when using newer consoles) as well as a choice between 55-, 65 and 77-inch panels.
As is the case with LG introductions, pricing and availability will have to be sorted before you can buy a 2023 OLED TV. The G3 is undoubtedly the most popular model. These are very common upgrades that can be attractive if you’re replacing an old set.
