Many of your Chromecasts are compatible with Google TV.

This got us thinking about how many people have a Chromecast and a Google TV. This is what we got back from you when we asked this question last week in our news article.

This poll received over 1,900 votes. We have a winner. More than three quarters of respondents indicated that they already own a Chromecast and Google TV.

Although we aren’t sure if this popularity is comparable to the general population, it’s easy to see why people would purchase this device. Chromecast with Google TV costs only $30, or $50 for a 4K model. This makes it one the most affordable streaming devices from a major manufacturer.

A majority of the readers polled said that they don’t own a Chromecast with Google TV, but 13.44% did. old ChromecastInstead of him. This is logical, as older models have long been the preferred choice if you want to simply cast content from your smartphone to your TV.

6.4% of respondents also said they have a different streaming device (eg. Fire TVAnd Nvidia Shield TVOr Camel), while 3.83% of voters said they used their smart TV instead.

• Esclar: I would love to see a higher-spec CCwGTV that can compete with the Nvidia Shield. The 4K CCwGTV scaling with a better SoC, more RAM/Storage, is also a good idea.
