Kia’s EV6GT electric car packs impressive performance.

The Kia EV6 premium electric vehicle is based on Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP architecture. The crossover’s most impressive feature is its ability to charge at 240kW at DC compatible fast charging stations. This is faster than Mercedes, Volkswagen and BMW, and means that the vehicle can be stopped in less time.

Fast charging could have been a Kia feature for the electric crossover. Instead, I built something a little more crazy. EV6 has a zero to 60 time of 3.4 seconds, 576 horsepower and 545 lbft of torque. It’s a fast, electric crossover that outperformed Lamborghini or Ferrari in tests.

Kia invited us to Las Vegas in Nevada to experience the 2023 EV6 GT. We drove the car on twisty roads and a drag strip. We also had the opportunity to test out the EV’s drift mode. This is all in Kia.

You can see the car’s performance on the track and in the real world by watching the video below.
